the flames beyond the cold mountain

cny is going to be a downer. on the heels of the last few good days.

let's see.

friday.

- collected a shirt from shu fen (result of a recent sponsorship).

- and a free 'aus sailing' mag. cuz there was a pic featuring brett and i shaking hands at the ag. for an article about the original WC. schweeet.

- went for a splash. tried to impart some gybing skills on acsi's laser fleet haha. good fun.

- got to preview the ag appreciation dinner video in the office while waiting for my ride home. featured seng leong's animated reaction after crossing the line. heh.

saturday.

- heard that 'hysteria' bassline booming next door when i got back to saraca for cny. dropped everything, went over to... contribute lead vocals for my neighbour's band! haha. i sang (or squealed, rather) radiohead's creep, karma police, goo goo dolls' big machine, rhcp's by the way.

- had a sudden revelation that i couldn't sing.

arrest this man. he talks in maths.

- gave my dad's triathlon bike a spin over to greg's house. sick carbon fibre shit.

- played some footy, followed by 1.5 hrs of ping pong vs. the backhand serve virtuoso.

- had a feast at my aunt's place. met lucy! that fat lovable feline.

- heard simon & gar... no wait. they're called kings of convenience. heard 'riot on an empty street' once through.

- realised that the mars volta actually went so far out of their way to write a catchy song. viscera eyes.

thus i conclude that cny won't hold much interest for me this year. (i imagine pple will be thinking twice about giving me money in red packets. but thats beside the point.)
